Update

Luis is doing relatively well, considering, he is conscious today. He is still too weak to be moved to Tegucigalpa (also, the highway there is currently blocked by protesters and flaming tires, according to La Tribuna), and it looks like he is going to need massive reconstructive surgery on his face. Incidentally, this is at least the second incident of this type in the past week; random gang violence is suspected.
If you are interested in contributing to the fund for his medical expenses, or you just like knitting socks, won't you consider this lovely pattern written by my friend Sarah Sipe? It costs 6$ and is worth every penny!

Aren't they pretty? All proceeds will go directly to the fund:

Additionally, all proceeds from my patterns Smooshy scarf and Spangenhelm will also go towards Luis' treatment. Both are 3$

My friend Naomi is also donating proceeds from the sale of her lovely Pinion hat to the medical fund as well. That is one pretty hat and the lace pattern is addictive to knit. It costs 3$.

Patterns are available for download as soon as you have paid!

If you like knitting and yarn and so forth, keep watching because very soon we'll be having a yarn sale to benefit Luis!
