Legend says that the pickle, a symbol of good luck, was the last ornament to be placed on the Christmas tree. The first child to find the pickle on Christmas morning was rewarded with an extra gift left by St. Nicholas.
Please enjoy this (not exactly safe for work) link in honor of Pickle Day:

http://www.ljcfyi.com/blog.htm which i will be making soon. I would also like a deep fried pickle today. I found out that you can get them at Spanky's in Times Square. Had i more money, i would also buy the game, "In a Pickle". Next year!
And before you all send it to me, YES, I HAVE seen the picture of the woman with many whole pickles stuffed into her... barrel. No need to be a perv on the dilliest day of the year. The Brooklyn Book Festival is also happening today. They're offering lectures by famous writers & there will be a tribute to Sekou Sundiata. I went last year, but being in school gives my brain enough to do & today i just want to be silly & maybe ride something swishy.
Since Marci is gone (the girl i like to take out on dates is in Europe for a month) i'm kidnapping David today. We're going to the pickle fest, then the county fair & then there might be something special happening tonight...
