So I will hunt you tonight,
Beneath the cold round moon.
And the sun will rise,
But not any time soon.
So I advise you find cover,
There may not be many places to hide.
For most of the sea brush,
Has been washed away by the tide.
And you see, tonight’s moon,
Is quite big and quite bright.
And I can sense you near,
And you’ll soon be in sight.
This sand is so fine,
It leaves your footsteps behind.
And I am tracking you closely,
And you should keep that in mind.
I can hear the echoes of your heart beat,
And your pulse is quite fast.
You have the belief that the next,
Might be your last.
But dear, I don’t intend to cause any harm,
For my love for you is vividly surreal.
And it is only your heart,
That tonight I wish I could steal.
So please slow don’t your pace,
So we can meet beneath the stars as they shine.
There’s not a soul I adore more,
And I wish you were mine.
And with that said,
I discovered you were just in my dreams.
And all this time,
I have been chasing a ghost so it seems.
And the tracks in the sand,
Were from the lovers before.
They found me here weeping,
Alone curled up on the beach floor.
I guess my hunting is complete,
But only for today.
For if I had dreamt you existed,
You may cross my way.
I may need to be creative,
And devise a plan to ensure.
That when we finally meet,
There is inevitable allure.
