[A mixer between schools was a great idea, and was especially fun for Tohru and his friends. A break of sorts from a very demanding job. But an unsupervised mixer, was probably not as smart.
Inevitably, the students had split off from the controlled environment and Tohru had found himself talked into a bar. Mikoto was passed out cold at a nearby table, well past finished. But while they were here and with a drink or two in him already, Tohru felt he deserves the next trip up to the counter.
So he leans on the counter while waiting for his drink and smiles amicably at the boy next to him. One of the students from the other school from the looks of it.]
[Hajime glances at him, his cup already tilted up for a drink, and nods only in acknowledgement when he sets it down. Pretty boy.]
I don't know what you mean by fun.
[Half of his team was over on the nearby stage belting out fail karakoke and too drunk to realize they were dancing with each other, a few had passed out on some tables, and the others had just up and disappeared. Hajime tilts the remaining alcohol in his cup, trying to figure out what exactly what the appeal of it all.]
Girly boy says "how you doin'?"likesthemgentleJuly 14 2011, 04:51:32 UTC
This, meeting people from other schools and getting a chance to relax. Being with friends and making new ones.
[Laughs a little, cheeks just the faintest bit flushed from the alcohol.]
Are you not enjoying yourself? [Tilts his head at this guy curiously, he looked far too serious from the get go actually, Tohru wouldn't be surprised.]
Manly boy says "my love don't cost a thing" -- I mean "I got enough bang in the bank"suckmylipstickJuly 14 2011, 08:04:21 UTC
[He studies Tohru's face carefully. He remembers faintly a cheerleader who looked somewhat familiar. Perhaps a sister? He leans over his drink a little.]
Girly boy is just going to laugh coyly now~ "aw, how cute"likesthemgentleJuly 18 2011, 06:04:35 UTC
[Stares for a moment.]
... Do I look like a girl right now to you? Of course I'm a boy!
It's just my job. Our school doesn't have cute girls to cheer or liven things up, after all.
[And now Tohru is going to give you a look over, Hajime. He definitely would have been made a Princess at Fujimori... Not that he could see someone like him going for that deal.]
Manly boy is tsuns "No, I'm not!"suckmylipstickJuly 18 2011, 14:49:15 UTC
You do.
[He's blunt. Really, even out of Princess attire, Tohru wasn't the manliest looking guy. Hajime probably has no right to say so but he'd never acknowledge it. He'd rather be the one prepping the Princesses, after all.]
Your school lacks honor. Hire cheerleaders from an all girls school for that kind of thing.
[He finishes his drink, pushes his empty glass to the bartender, and asks for another. While he's waiting, he stares at Tohru's face critically.]
Girly boy says "oh yes you are, and denying it just makes it more true. have fun with that~"likesthemgentleJuly 22 2011, 01:18:03 UTC
Lacks honor? [What was this, feudal times? But Tohru lets the insult roll off him with a long sip of fruity liquor.] I don't know, our teams do quite well with the cheerleaders we do have.
[He paused, cup half way to his lips again as he notices Hajime staring at him now.]
Well, yes, of course I do. Who else would be able to do it. I've learned a lot more than most guys do about makeup. Girls don't exactly have it easy. [Grins.]

It doesn't please me to be fraternizing with the enemy.

Of the competitive sort then, huh? It doesn't hurt to set that aside for a while though. Saving it for the actual competitions, you know?
[Takes a sip, regarding Hajime over the rim of the glass with long lashes and big blue eyes curiously.] What do you compete in?

[Hajime risks an inconspicuous glance. This guy looks somewhat familiar.]
I don't recall seeing you at any of the matches.

Oh, I've been at a few of the kendo matches~
[Playful lilt to his voice even, accentuated by the booze.]

Who did you compete against?

[Mischievous grin.]
I was in a class all my own.

[He narrows his eyes.]
