CHAPTER TWO
They arrived at their last stop, Kame and Jin’s apartment. Their manager was able to wake Kame up but not Jin.
“Kamenashi. Wake that baka already.” Their manager ordered while looking at his watch.
“Akanishi…Oi!” Kame said as he was nudging Jin’s arm. “Akanishi we’re here.”
“Huh?... What?”Jin asked, still sounding sleepy. Kame went down and out of the van.
“Ah. We’re here.” Jin said while rubbing his eye.
“Thank you for the hard work!” Their manager said as Jin went out of the van and he closed the door behind him. The van left and Kame went upstairs to prepare their late dinner. Jin followed silently still looking at Kame who was reaching for his keys in his pocket. He opened the apartment and he went straight to the kitchen to prepare the food. On the other hand, Jin sat on their couch and turned on his phone.
“Uwa~ 15 Unread Messages… from…Yamashita Tomohisa….” He said softly.
Then he remembered…
“Ne Jin… where are we going tomorrow?” He said while preparing for dinner.
“Tomorrow?... I have schedule with Pi tomorrow. We’re going out.” He said looking at the TV Set in front of him.
“Eh… Jin. Tomorrow’s special.”
“Its not your birthday tomorrow, am I right?” He said still looking at the TV Set.
“iie~ I can’t believe you forgot.” Kame said a bit teary eyed.
“Forgot about what?”
“Our ------“ Kame sighed.
“All I know is, I have a party to go to tomorrow. That’s all. If you want to come, you can. Pi won’t mind anyways…”
“Am I even important to you Jin?” he asked. Jin glanced at him then back at the TV Set.
“What do you think Kamenashi?” Jin sounded that he was pissed.
“ You forgot about it. I can’t believe you..of all the days to forget...”
“I’m telling you.. If it’s something important, we’ll celebrate it. But there’s nothing special tomorrow so get a grip Kame. You can’t always have what you want.”
“Is my birthday the only day special to you?!!”
“Well of course! Its YOUR BIRTHDAY!”
“Well I don’t care about it! I can’t believe I mean this little to you!” Kame stopped what he was doing, went to their room and slammed the door then locked it.
“ What the heck is his problem?”Jin wondered.
Jin continued to read the 15 messages then he erased them after. He finally came to the last note in his cell phone.

Jin paused as he saw the note. There was absolutely no way he could have forgotten. So just to be sure Jin stood up and looked at their calendar. It was correct, today was their Anniversary.
“Shit…Shit… Shit…. SHIT.” Jin said as he paced back and forth in front of the TV Set. “I can’t believe that I forgot our anniversary!” He whispered. He rested his head on his palms and thought about everything that had happened. The fight, Kame’s ignorance, Maru’s statement…It all made sense now.
He glanced at Kame who was busy preparing their late night dinner. Jin thought that if he didn’t do anything Kame will still be mad at him the next day. So Jin stood up and went behind Kame, pretending that he’s going to get a drink from the fridge. He looked at Kame and saw him washing some of the things he used. He sighed and slowly wrapped his arms around Kame’s waist.
“What are you doing?” Kame asked coldly.
“Gomen Kazu~ I didn’t mean to forget about it…” Jin buried his head at the crook of Kame’s neck and hugged him even tighter.
“
Its okay JinJin...” Kame sighed.
“Happy Anniversary Kazu-chan” Jin said as he planted a kiss on Kame’s forehead.
“Happy Anniversary too JinJin.” Kame said with a small smile and kissed Jin’s cheek.
