Hey kids, here's a quick roundup of what's been going on with me.

I've uploaded a few more school drawings to my deviant art account. Please visit http://stewnami.deviantart.com/ if you are interested.
School hasn't been going so well for me this semester. It seems like thing after thing keep coming up and keeping me from staying on task. The nagging elbow injury I've had made it difficult to hold my drawing board, and I needed to balance the board in front of me to draw on. I now draw on my drawing table, as I didn't realize that it has a pretty steep incline I can draw on. After I got that sorted out, I sprained my ankle, and wasn't able to stand, which is the best way for me to draw this stuff, as it gives me full range of motion to be loosy goosy with my arm. I tried drawing sitting down, and it messes with how I see and draw. Finally, I had some sort of sinus cold for almost a week now, and that kicked my ass hardcore. I had no energy, and all of the symptoms of a fever, without the fever. Good times that have lead to me being way behind in work. I'm not sure that I will be able to catch up. I am acing my Art History class, and it has been a lot of fun. In my anatomy class, the instructor is understanding and has given me the ability to turn in work late. The figure drawing class is one that I am not optimistic about. I am struggling mightily with drawing with charcoal, and that is all the class is about. I understand the ideals we are being taught, but oh how I long for the ability to draw with pencils again.

I think I am going to alter my major a bit at school. Currently, I am in traditional Illustration, and I think I am going to switch to Graphic Illustration. Graphic Illustration is a combination of Illustration and Graphic Design classes. I think this is more up what I like to do and makes me more marketable after I graduate. Or so I hope. I'll be adding about 8 classes to my overall load, but I get to get away from some of the charcoal drawing and sculpting classes that I have absolutely no interest in.
This weekend is the Bowling Down Cancer benefit at Jug's. I hope it does well, as it means a lot to us. I haven't been able to contribute as much as I wanted to, as this has been a rough few months. My brother Dave's wife Kim has hit it out of the park and really set this thing up. We hope to see as many people as possible, and if you can't make it and want to donate, please visit http://www.myspace.com/bowlingdowncancer.

I shook off the crappy week of bowling and got the ship righted this last time. I bowled 194, 256, and 227 for a 677 series. My average went back up to 210, which is more of where I would like to keep it. The pro shop at Jug's had a demo days event this last week, where we got to throw 4 different bowling balls from the company Ebonite. It was neat as they measure you hand and fit you with grips and thumb slug that screw into the ball, so they can switch them and reuse them in another ball. I ended up really liking a ball called the NVS. It was cool to throw the different bowling balls without having to buy one to see how it reacts.

I want to congratulate the United States on setting an all time record for sexually transmitted disease! Who says we aren't 1 in the world still? We showed them! Remember kids, no glove, no love! This is one category that we shouldn't rule in. You would seriously think that a third world type country would lead, as safe sex is something that they can't afford to understand. Stupid poverty.

I am currently 10-0 in the fantasy football league that Tony is running. I can't get over how my gamble of drafting Tom Brady and Randy Moss has worked out so far. Woot.

Well, my producer is telling me that we are out of time, so I'll see ya next time!
