* Make sure to keep non-lasso foot on opponent's hip when transitioning to knee grip.
* Pull the opponent a little with the lasso to lighten their leg to enable a better grip on their knee.
* Once grip is in place, only then go for the cross-hip shin. Never remove the foot on their hip beforehand since they can back out or stand up or even just smash.
* Once the grips and shin are in place, use a bridge to disrupt their balance and then go for the sweep (or berimbolo triangle).
* NOTE: Do either techniques from the apex of the bridge since both are easier to perform with the opponent off balance.
