expensive week
this past week was expensive.
joined in on the HGT Thursday group for dinner for the first time. I don't think the concept of "cheap food" exists in Flapjacks. others present were Joszef, Doc Carlo, Eric, Jorel, Choi, James and Rob. much fun was had at my expense once we found out that Eric had a 7D for sale and that I was planning on buying one. long story short, I have a new camera.
met up with Toyang and Pia for dinner because Pia wanted to go out and play billiards. since the only place near Greenbelt I could think of that resembled a pool hall if you cover an eye and kinda squint a bit was National Sports Grill, we had dinner there. we didn't get around to playing billiards anymore because there were too many people. it was nice to see them again. it's been months since I last saw them.
the Metro Comic Con took place at Mega Mall over the weekend. I wasn't really all that keen on going but there were people there I had to meet. originally, I was just supposed to bring my LX3 but since I got the 7D earlier that morning, I decided to bring it along to break it in and fully arm it. most of my shots that day were of Nicole, who is becoming my most frequent model. a few shots of Char (aka she who hath nearly vanished from the face of the Earth due to Technika) were also snuck in. after they left, I ran into and hung around Clair, Dang and, much later on, JM. JM convinced me that I must watch the BBC's Sherlock.
CAMPI's 3rd Philippine International Motor Show took place from the 19th until today. I wasn't really all that interested in going to a car show, especially since someone on PiPho posted that Gwyneth probably wouldn't be there. and then a couple of days later, someone confirmed that she was definitely going. so, yeah. I went there to take pictures of her. I'm flattered that she remembers me, though I highly doubt she remembers my name. also, it was my first time to see Abby Poblador with dark hair and personally, I think she looks hotter like that than with brown hair.
