HGT Manila photo walk and Island Cove
the HGT had its first photo walk on Saturday, which also doubled as its first grand gathering. somewhere around 40 photographers invaded the Manila Bay area to meet for the first time, make fun of each other, eat and maybe take a picture or two somewhere in the mix.
it was great fun to match names to faces at last and see some really kick ass gear. the setup that really caught my attention was one that must have cost somewhere in the neighborhood of P400k: one of Canon's biggest and baddest cameras with one of their most popular lenses. and at some point, someone nearly bumped into that tripod.
the next day, I went with Nicole and Kiko to Island Cove in Cavite just because Nicole felt like going out of town. the best comedy moment was when Nicole's helper managed to catch a fish within five minutes of casting her line whereas Nicole had spent five hours fishing the last time they were there and had nothing to show for it afterwards.
