Oh my sweet lord. I think I have officially discovered the worlds most putrid smell. And I'm a pretty sloppy housekeeper, and mom of a 4 yr old who's still in diapers, so there have been some doozies. And this one tops them ALL.
Ok, so, the diapers pails REEK. I mean, gag me reek, and I have a pretty strong stomach. Baking soda, conventional cleaning products, nothing was killing the stench. So I read on a message board where one mama tells another to put vinegar in the bath to get the smell of poo off her daughter who has been fingerpainting with her own waste products. Oooh, vinegar! I just bought a gallon jug for washing cloth diapers. Lemme try that! So I fill the pails up with hot water, add a large quantity of vinegar and-- Oh. My. God. Ass and vinegar. *gasp choke faint* That is just foul beyond all human comprehension. It damn well better work after a nice long soak. I don't want to have burned out the lining of my nose for nothing.
Somebody pass me some incense or something. *phew*
