Happy holidays, all. Hope you all had a nice Christmas, and have something fun planned for the new year =)
Mine was reasonably uneventful. Usual family-related stuff and food. It was mostly sitting around listening to grown-ups talk about business and/or money. I didn't even drink any alcohol, how boring was I? XD
Presents-wise, Jay really liked the Sticky bomb I bought him from the Valve store, and Aron and Ysan were quite surprised by the Venus Flytrap that I bought them XD I bought my sister a decent pair of Sennheiser PC headphones (because she kept stealing mine). I still have Alun and Kev's present to give to them, next I see them. Hopefully that'll be at the hot-pot gathering in January.
I got a thing from my sister. She says it's a "Snood" or something. It is a wide tube made out of wool. Apparently you're supposed to wear it like a scarf. I got games from everyone else - Amnesia (which is quite frightening) from Jay, Dead Rising 2 from Aron and Ysan, and Brink from Kev (which isn't even out till who knows when, but it was on Steam and it was the only thing on my wishlist, anything else would have required thought on Kev's part) XD I've been playing DR2 pretty much constantly XD
Tomorrow's a bank holiday, but I'm rota'd to be working in the morning D= It's only 4 hours, but I still would rather not have to wake up early for work (or anything else, for that matter).
I've invited myself up to Newcastle for the new year. I'll likely head up there shortly after I finish work. Doesn't sound like there's anything in particular being planned but I'll be bringing fireworks and some booze, and that always = a good time in my books XD I just hope the weather won't be so bad that it will make getting up there difficult...
