I can't believe I haven't posted anything since 12 July! Where has the time gone?

The past six weeks or so was swallowed up modding this year's round of dramione_duet, which is always a bit hair-raising and, this year, involved making some art and writing a pinch-hit story, Be careful what you wish for (NC-17).

I haven’t been posting my Dramione stories here because the people on my f-list who are into Dramione will already have had the chance to read them elsewhere, but I’m sort of proud of this one, especially of the setting (though it’s probably much richer in my head than it is in the story ;-)

Been feeling very meh recently -- not sure why now particularly, but every straw seems to be the last. On the positive side, I have managed to write my first story (4,300 words-ish) since January, and I've been writing drabbles -- in fact, in a moment of utter madness, I signed up for the dmhgchallenge LDWS (Last Drabble Writer Standing) challenge. This month's dmhgchallenge prompt was a strange one, so I cheated a bit, and I think I may have got the sympathy vote from people who found it as frustrating as I did (though I could really have done with 50 or so more words -- or maybe with not being on holiday -- to have made this one into a properly-formed story).

It seems I need an operation -- they're going to remove my gall bladder at the end of March. In the meantime, it would be in my own interest, apparently, to lose weight.
