Dragon*Con day 1
Can I just say I love Dragon*Con? It's my favorite time of the year, other than Hallowe'en. And here it is again. Woot!
This year I finally got out of the hotels for once, and got things started off right. Went to the Center for Puppetry Arts http://www.puppet.org/ with a few friends. Their idea. Absolutely rocked!! Thank you so much, M & P. I can't get over the artistry involved. Check it out if you're in the area. Great for kids and adults both. They're going to be getting a Muppet exhibit in 2012, but they're slowly getting a few pieces now. Saw Kermit, Link Hogthrob and Dr. Strangepork. "Pigs in Space!" Gotta love it! Also saw a Skeksis from Dark Crystal. The detail on the clothing etc just blew me away. And one of the goblins from Labyrinth.
Got registered. I got in line a little after 4:00, and there was already a long line. Seems like more people than last year already. There was quite a crowd for the Three Quarter Ale/Lost Boys/Emerald Rose concert tonight. Seemed like more than usual. All three bands put on great shows, but my personal fave will always be Emerald Rose.
Now must get some sleep since I hadn't got much the past few days, trying to get things done at the last minute. The real con starts tomorrow.
