Bert Jansch: absolutely brilliant. One man, one guitar, filled the room.

Vashti Bunyan: inoffensive but unexciting. Didn't realise she did that siong off the mobile phone advert.

And this I would've killed for. Not sure Vashti would be that great a live act, mind. You do have to admire anyone who has a 35-year gap between albums, though.

I was gobsmacked when Just Another Diamond Day turned up on an advert... what kind of cocaine-fuelled "creative" has heard Vashti's first album?

Devandra Banheart: unconscious.

Was this you or Devendra? Because if it was Devendra, I can't decide if it's brilliant or annoying.

The Scientists

There are people in the world who adore the idea of my dressing up as Mal Reynolds. Although obviously everyone would be devastated if I stopped writing songs.

Mudhoney! Bert Jansch! Surprised The Liars weren't any good! I'm also pretty jealous because the Yeah Yeah Yeahs sold out in Birmingham, and now where will I get my fix of homemade fashions?

DB was by all accounts very good. I failed to go the distance though.

The Liars were meant to be good as well, my companions told me my scorn was unwarranted. Ears differ: one of my housemates went to see Bert Jansch the other week and said he was dull. She was clearly talking out of her arse.

Ears differ

This seems to be a suggestion that I should pay to go to more gigs rather than garnering my prejudices through vicarious experience. I don't understand.
