Been watching the second season of Buffy. About three quarters of the way through now. It starts very slow with lots of routine Monster Of The Week stuff and only really gets going till the two parter 'What's My Line?' Then it really picks up.
- The season opening nose scene is very cute.
- "Ripper": everyone is always darker than they seem but its never integrated in a particularly cohesive fashion. See my posts on Angel for more moaning about this.
- 'Lie To Me' is one of the few episodes I remember watching on telly and I really like. I see it is a written and directed by Whedon.
- I fall on the "I like Spike" side of the fence.
- Spike's meeting with Angel seem incompatible with the backstory from Angel. I guess this is the problem with watching an evolving mythology backwards.
- Speaking of which I am not looking forward to the appearance of Wesley.
- The Xander/Cordelia thing, complete with swelling comedy strings, is lame.
- I like Seth Green and his "who is that girl?" entrance.
- Speaking of which is the Seth Green/Bruce Seth Green thing just a coincidence?
- That big blue bugger looks familar. Did he play another baddie?
- Angelus!
