fuck you, plumber man!!!
ok damnit. i've been officially taken advantage of and i'm fucking sick of it!!! it'll work and and stuff, but it's the principle of the damn thing. so my neighbor, linda - her son and husband are plumbers. her husband has helped nick and i multiple times over the years and nick has helped them out, so with the exception of installing our dishwasher, he's never charged us for anything. so we needed our tub installed, and the vanity installed. linda had said they'd do it for us, no charge. cool. i go over there, her son is there, so i talk to him, tell him what i need, he says it's simple, no biggie - and we're set. he comes out, installs the tub and drain, but is unable to put the faucet on b/c we have to wait for the tile to be done. he says, "we can settle up later." i am flabbergasted, and like an idiot, i say nothing. he comes back to install the vanity, and we can't do it yet b/c we're not ready, he mentions wanting money to pay his bills - i say, "yea, i didn't even know you were charging me, so how much are you charging me?" and he tells me and i, like a dumbass give him a little over half and tell him to come back wednesday (night before last) night to put the faucet on so we can take a bath at home and he can come back monday to put in the vanity. he doesn't come back wednesday. his wife's phone goes straight to voicemail. he went to his mom's house (across the street), but was only there for a couple minutes and left. he didn't come back yesterday. nick put the faucet stuff on/together, so it's cool, but still - this fucker didn't even FINISH installing the tub and has disappeared. i'm calling his wife later today and telling her to tell him not to bother coming back. if he thought he was gonna come back monday and get more money, he's fucking crazy. this is ridiculous. i HATE that i gave him money. HATE IT! i'm ready for this house to be done. we're very near the end, but i'm ready.
