A little less than two weeks ago, I began job hunting. I applied to roughly 21 jobs over the span of that time. Out of those 21 jobs, I had deemed five of them "dream job" worthy.
On Friday, the 29th, an ad was placed on Craigslist for an Executive Assistant position for an educational non-profit organization in San Francisco. This was "dream job #5" and I applied that night. The next day, while at brunch in San Francisco (Straw in Hayes Valley - delish!), I got a phone call from the Executive Director of the organization. After an impromptu phone interview, I was invited for an in person interview on Monday, the 2nd.
Yesterday was the in-person interview. After an hour and a half of talking back and fourth, I left the City and headed to work in Pleasanton. About an hour later, I got a phone call with the job offer as well as an e-mail with the details of the offer.
Today I signed the offer letter. I start on July 16th. :)
I will be working in the Parkside/Outer Sunset district. My job serves 7 schools in San Francisco with before and after school programs. I'm nervous, excited, and anxious.
I know I got incredibly lucky this time around. I'm just really blessed and even more thankful that things ended up working out. Happythankyoumoreplease.
