cheerful cheerful!
So! The Easter holidays have begun! I know I'm meant to be using this time for revision but I'm hoping that I can get on with some writing too because I haven't exactly been productive in that field lately. Timeless is giving me some right old gyp! Anyway, now for the news in Ninaland in list form:
- Did my presentation on French influence on the English language and rocked it, baby! The scary examiner people seemed quite impressed and they totally busted my Extended Project grade up. :D Yay, extra UCAS points for university goodness!
- Springtime where I live is just... wow. Yep, occasionally torriential downpours (this is England) but today was hot as summer and I went for a walk through the moors and along the River Brue and good grief it looked how I'd imagine heaven to look if I believed in it. Just horses and birdies and buttercups and endless vibrant green! Ahh, lovely. Probably the downside of moving to London in September but there'll be lots of upsides to compensate. :)
- Boyfriend is off to Egypt on Sunday... his family bought tickets shortly after the uprising because "they were going so cheap!" Have I told you his parents are mental?
- Tomorrow is the Grand Nationals, the one time every year when I allow myself to bet! Just two pounds, one per horse. Don't knock it, dude, I won thirty-something quid from one of these once! And it's such an age-honoured traidition even if it is stupidly posh.
- Also Sunday I am doing bag-packing in the Tesco's supermarket in the next big town all day for the Japan relief effort! Me, my mum and the sibs are donning yukatas and giving out origami goodies too. :) I hope people donate generously!
- Duke of Edinburgh expedition has been scheduled for this summer! Five-day hike across the Brecon Beacons in Wales. Last year was such a lol, can't wait to do it again. Time to take up jogging again! Here's a photo of the gang last year... and me with my long hair, which I must admit I miss: I'm little miss unflattering green shirt. XD Welp, D of E is no time to be concerned about fashion! Or smelling good. XDDD
