I've gone back to Tinn for a bit, so: another Tinn post! The upside of having two very different 'hoods is that you can switch around when you feel like it. (The downside is of course that this inevitably means that you neglect the other 'hood.) Ambleside's been put on the background for now, I'm still thinking about it and downloading modern stuff, it's too tempting :) But I don't even know what I'm going to do with it, so my main focus is on getting Tinn settled in the new terrain. And hopefully playing it through Summer to try and keep up with Real Life, where it's been Autumn for a month already.
But I'm starting to ramble. What I wanted to show you, was that I've played a bit during the process of getting all the houses ready. And I have pictures.
The NPC witch that got created while I was in an owned business that had to be flattened.. She had a nice name, but I forget.
Jon Lewis and his wife Sophia, in the little vicarage behind the Chapel. He's the pastor.
The terrain doesn't disappoint me and, even while not being decorated completely (still some hedgerows missing), makes for nice pictures.
In the Chandler cottage, Robyn and Frank are finally reunited with Robyn's family, and Merle turns out to be surprisingly pretty with this new hair. From left to right: Robyn, Merle, Frank, and Jantine (Robyn's and Merle's mother).
Robyn and Frank had gotten married, but they were still sitting in the family bin. The Chandler family is my 'main' one, the one the story is about. Robyn's father Dorus was banned, and now they have an agreement: Frank is going to take over and live in this house, until their little brother Luc comes of age.
(My apologies for the incoherent ramble. This is probably not understandable for anyone but me.)
Look at Merle, she has suddenly become so pretty! *pinches cheeks*
There already was a tiny (really, really tiny) bedroom for Robyn and Frank, and they could finally(!) consummate their marriage.
And then all the houses were ready, and I changed the terrain! The land was now much closer to the water and not very hilly, so the houses were floating.
But very soon, everything was moved into their place, and fixed.
And I could take sweet pictures like this and put them up in my banner.
There is still much to be built and fixed, but at least they're all over to this terrain now!
While decorating, I tried to use trees sparingly, and I quite like the result. I also "re-"discovered the beauty of the birch trees and the little clumps. Before, I'd used only the forests and the oak trees (because I thought that the others were too "low quality"), but they were getting old and the grey trunk was irritating me. So I decided that those others were not at all bad, after all. I like the effect.
