Dean misses how they used be.
He misses his geeky little brother looking up at him from behind his computer smiling like Dean held all the answers to the world.
He misses the Sam that had gone to collage and still even after Jessica’s death had plans on going back after they killed then known as the yellow eyed demon.
Dean misses the Sam that wasn’t infected with demon blood (even if he had always been infected dean wishes he could go back to the time when neither of them knew about it).
Dean also misses the times when they where just Sam and Dean on the road saving people hunting things. Not Sam and Dean in the middle of a holy war where in the end they end up fighting on opposite sides.
Dean even misses Sam when he sits right next to him. Because maybe Azazel was right, maybe Sam came back wrong and broken and Dean doesn’t know how to fix him.
