(no subject)
lord almighty im getting sick and tired of being sick.
i never ever EVER want to see the inside of the health center ever again. and that's definitely not going to happen considering i have an appt with them at 1130am on wednesday morning.
i went in yesterday because my sore throat was back. the lady told me to give it until tuesday or wednesday; maybe it would clear up on its own (this is because i already went through antibiotics, steroids and vicodin).
this morning: i wake up because of the pain in MY EARS. not just my throat. so, they said to come in because, well, they're not comfortable with people's ears hurting.
verdict: ears are fine. it's probably pain radiating upwards from my MASSIVE TONSILS that are inflamed.
allergies my ass. so this time, they stuck me with a needle and took three vials of my precious blood. tom sat in front of me and made goofy faces the entire time. thank god, because there's nothing more i HATE than needles. so what are they checking for? my white blood count to make sure that it's not a virus that my body's trying (and failing miserably) to fight off. second (and what i think, more importantly) they're checking to see if i have some random thing that presents itself with mono-like symptoms, but isnt mono. they know ive already had mono, and a really bad case of it. problem is, my lymph nodes, tonsils, glands, the whole shabang are swollen beyond belief, and the only thing that allows me to swallow spit/food/water is taking 3 ibuprofen every 4 hours. which is what they prescribed until i can go in and see them on wednesday. which will probably kill my liver and kidneys and have me on dyalisis by the time im 30. lovely.
on a much brighter and happier note: the superbowl party at liz's yesterday was fantastic. we had a great time eating (amazing nachos and wings), talking, laughing at ridiculous commercials, comments, general silliness. mad props to everyone who showed up and made me smile.
annnnnnnd tom got back yesterday from dc. at noon. so so so happy to have him back. :) i was able to get a crapload of work done this weekend in between hanging out with liz and the gang, so im going to review the paper i wrote for tomorrow and then just relax. ive earned it.
