I can't seem to fall asleep tonight.
The day off was relaxing. It was spent lounging around home, talking to Daniel, and cooking dinner.
Daniel has left for Japan with his nijutsu class. I think he'll have fun. I wish we could meet up somewhere. He listed off various places that he might get to see, one of which included the Imperial Palace. If it's the same Imperial Palace, if there's just one Imperial Palace in Japan, then it's the one that is right across the street from my apartment. So it would be really nice to meet up with him if possible, but he didn't bring his laptop to tell me what his plans would be so I'm trying not to hold my breath.
School tomorrow, and then we have off until Wednesday due to the Eve festival. I'm still pissed that I have to work at the dumpling stand. The fact that they took $20, made a schedule which has yet to be completed, forced us to work, and then didn't even make the dumplings (I believe they're store bought) just seems like a big half-assed deal to me. Luckily Tam will be working with me most of the time so hopefully she can keep me somewhat sane.
Tried going to the sentou yesterday but it was closed, probably due to the holiday. It was closed today too, so we're going to bike there again tomorrow after hanging around Daimonji.
My thanksgiving meal was composed of a not-so-tasty omlete, unfortunately. I need remind myself that ingredients here don't taste the same as ingredients back home. It was one of those foods where starting off it tasted good since you're hungry, but halfway through you have to force yourself to finish it. Thinking about it makes me shudder, bleghhhh.
Kind of getting like that with a few foods, like daikon and spinach. At least there's also foods here that I don't tire of.
Anyways, I hope everyone has a good thanksgiving! I'll post pictures of Daimonji tomorrow.
Going to try to go sleep now.
