Someone shouldn't have this much trouble with getting a passport...
Okay. So some background on my passport issues. This is my second attempt at getting a passport. I first tried about 2 years ago to go to Japan to see Tegan and have a blast there. Well, that first time I paid for it to be expedited. Not only was it lost to the point where they refunded me but I got a letter of apology which stated I had to wait 6 months before getting a new one. There was a huge fight with Tegan and I and a lot of drama....
Fast forward to a week before Amanda left. We went down and ordered our passports and where told that it would take about 8-10 weeks. Okay thought that would be great, we could have them in plenty of time in case we wanted to go anywhere. The next part finds us getting worried about not getting them 15 weeks after we ordered them. Last night Amanda tells me her mom told her that they got hers in mid August! They didn't tell her till last night when she had to ask about it. Are you kidding me?!?!?!? So now on to my part. I have text my step mom trying to find out if she had received mine. Through the conversation she explains that no she didn't and she has no idea what I am talking about. Plus, that she forwarded my mail because it wasn't my address anymore. I explained that as a student it is good for me to have a permanent address and that I thanked her for her time. Today, before class I end up calling 3 different post offices that it passed through so I know it exist. They basically tell me that it went to my step mom's then was put back in the system to come to my current address. I think great! I will go down to my office and find it there. Yeah I end up talking to them and they have no idea what I am talking about. They tell me that since it wasn't something they have to sign for that they would have sent it back.... i assure them that the post office told me that it had been delivered and that it had not reentered their system. It not being at the office makes this fall back on my roommates who say they haven't seen it. Most people have not been to my apartment because I am the only clean person who lives here. It really does boggle my mind how I am apparently not suppose to have a passport.....
