Yes, I've been MIA for a bit here. I'm not usually one to make New Year's resolutions but writing here more is one of the goals I've set for myself. If I'm going to pay for a nice LJ (which I do) then I should actually use it, right?
Here's December 2009 in a nutshell: I finished my papers, even though I was sick for one of them. I made it through a rough semester but I'm confident for the next one. I went home for the holidays and for the first time, the trip wasn't just a drive across town. I got a Wii for Christmas. It snowed here on Christmas Eve (which almost never happens). I spent New Years watching the Thin Man movies on TCM.
My 10 year high school reunion is coming up this year. This mostly just makes me feel old. I can't decide if I want to go to the reunion. What do I say when someone asks, "So, what have you been up to for the last 10 years?" Will there be anyone there I'd actually want to talk to that I don't talk to already? *sigh* I'm in graduate school and thus not gainfully employed, and I'm single with no babies, so there's not much to report. I'll probably go to part of it, at least (a friend is getting married that weekend so that'll take some of the time), but at this point I'm not committing myself either way.
That's all for the moment. I'm still home until January 10.
