It's paper-writing season, which means a shit-ton of reading and writing as well as a fair amount of pulling out one's hair and grumbling. I did manage to get some work done on one of my papers over the break. I was proud of how much I did. Then I came back here and the guilt set in. Why hadn't I done more? More on the paper or more in terms of my day-to-day work (the grading, the reading for my own classes, etc.). I hate this feeling; I liked that sense of accomplishment.
Otherwise, my break was pretty good. I ate too much, but so it goes. We had a really good dinner, plus delicious pies. I did go on a little hike with my parents (which turned out to be quite the dangerous venture considering my weak post-sprain ankle), which counts as decent exercise. The time went too quickly, as usual. *sigh*
I watched Heroes earlier and I really wished someone were here to snicker with me about this: Peter nailed Sylar. What? He did. Literally nailed him... to the ground. That's not really a spoiler, by the way, if you're one of the few people who still cares what happens on Heroes.
