The Voice Casting of Kingdom Hearts: Hidden Geek Irony?

Idle preponderance time.

Kingdom Hearts has been a veritable who's who of A-list or highly regarded voice actors.  Ever since Haley Joel "I Can See Dead People" Osment became the titular chosen boy of the Kingdom Hearts franchise in the first video game as the voice actor of main protagonist Sora, they've introduced new pivotal characters that often tend to be voiced by someone who is/was famous. Like Ansem the Wise who was voiced by Christopher Lee, Pat Morita as the Emperor of China, Gilbert Gotfried, David Boreanaz, Frank Welker. ...Lance Bass of Nsync as Sephiroth?

But in the latest game 'Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep', I noticed their VA selection for two pivotal characters, Keyblade Masters Eraqus and Xehanort:  Master Eraqus is voiced by Mark Hamill.  Master Xehanort, voiced by Leonard Nimoy.  Add the fact that the new game has all the underlying story dynamics of Star Wars-ish Noble Valiant Jedi versus Scheming Deceitful Sith.

They're both well beyond it in their careers...but I wonder if there was ever any background banter between Nimoy and Hamill about Spock and Luke Skywalker joining forces.
