Another Endless Night
A half liter down
too much more to gauge
stumbling through town
time for the actors to hit the stage
The clock in your hand
Whispers lies to your eyes
While the bartender speaks
From beneath the water he leaks
Scoffing eyes at every turn
Though there's Smoke all around
Words fall apart
Yet your lips are tightly bound
The girl in the corner
Ignoring what she needs
Your fist clentched to the glass
Until it starts to bleed
The coins scatter
The bottles shatter
Under the weight
Of this mindless chatter
The final curtain call
But not before the swords are drawn
One final fight
To finish another endless night
