"Woah, there, Monday buddy," Fred said plopping onto his back beside Nikki.

"Ceiling interesting today?"

Nikki turned her head and smiled. It was Fred!

"Very!" she joked, glad it was him to see her fall and not somebody else.

He poked her nose before looking up at the ceiling. "Is it... because... it's above you?"

Nikki scrunched her nose at his touch.

"That is exactly it!" she said.

Fred put his hands behind his head, relaxing in the hall. "What's cookin', good lookin'?"

"Just the normal things," she said, finally sitting up and running her fingers through her hair.

"Falling...more falling. What about you?"

Turning to look at her, Fred nodded. "Falling is pretty normal for you, eh?"
He laughed.

"Getting ready for the NEWTS?"

At this Nikki frowned. She knew she was going to terrible on her NEWTs.

"Yes," she answered glumly. "Are you?"

"Not really," he said, shrugging. "Don't really care, to be honest..."

"That's the way to be!" Nikki cheering, wishing she could be that carefree.

He laughed. "Yeah, if the way to be is the failing way," Fred muttered.

"That's the way we both seem to be headed," Nikki said, not exactly upset about it.

At that, she tried to stand up but lost her balance again and landed with her head on Fred's legs.

A little surprised at Nikki's sudden appearance on his legs, Fred just laughed it off.

"Yeah, but I doubt you want to fail," he winked.

"No...neither fail or fall. Both are really hard on me," she said, smiling up at him from the floor.

He stood, pulling Nikki up with him. "You'll just have to try not to do either then, eh?"

"Maybe. I can do the school part...the standing on my own is going to be alittle tough."
