Karl Urban smacked my tribble!
No that is not code for anything! This past weekend I was over in Melbourne, helping my lovely friend, anntarot show Karl the tattoo he signed back in 2010 in Melbourne. As part of the trip my tribble went on a little trip and got a bit of attention. Ann had a photo with Karl, the tribble and Hardison from Leverage (Aldis Hodge who is completely lovely and his mum is so wonderful and sweet too). Aldis was incredibly keen to partake in the pic as Hardison would totally want to meet 'Bones' at a Convention. It was at that photo that Karl smacked the tribble.
I shall not mention now what Sebastian Roche did with the tribble, but he named it 'muffy' and most of the guests were curious and wanted to experience what a tribble can actually do.
The funniest part though was during Chris Heyerdahl and Chris Judges' VIP panel. They were asked if they could be any alien or race on Star Trek, what would they be? Chris H wanted to be a Vulcan as he used to pretend he was one as a kid and Chris J had two options, which the last one was a tribble. So we showed it to him. Proof can be seen here if you go to about the 27 min mark. You also get to hear what I sound like. ;) Unfortunately the lighting wasn't good in the room, and the person videoing didn't follow Chris J at the start so you miss his initial reaction to the tribble. I have never seen a guy with muscles that big be so scared! When he smacked the tribble and it started vibrating he jumped and dropped it on the floor. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Hopefully I can track down some pics of it from the many other cameras in the room.
I did take a few photos over the weekend and will put them up soon. I did my Donna cosplay on the Saturday and was told by one of the guys at the Lords of Time booth that I could make money being a Catherine Tate/Donna double. That was a nice compliment.
Oh and I took the RED shirt that I own and you should have seen Karl's face. He signed it and then during my photo with him, he put it on for the photo. Awesome!
