So apparently the last time I posted with this eljay was in March. WTG, self. I'm just glad school's almost over for the summer.

Warning: there is gratuitous amounts of bitching/emoangsting/frustration under the cut that I just need to get off my chest, so feel free to skip.

NO MORE LATE NIGHT DISCUSSIONS :|

Second of all, everyone approaches school work differently. I wait until the last minute and turn out an essay that gets a decent/good grade, while my sister has to prepare for it a week in advance so she doesn't have to worry about it the night before. My friend totally gets math and can work with numbers in his head all the time, while I can barely count CHANGE without getting confused. My sister needs a tutor and rigorous studying to get through history class. I still remember the first time we learned about the Holocaust in fifth grade and I came home sobbing uncontrollably because I just wanted to know why.

I know, I know "cool story bro" BUT LISTEN TO ME. This is not your fault and not exclusive to you. You aren't a failure in any sense of the word. You study and try harder than a majority of the people I've known in my life. You put effort into your work far beyond the expectations of the normal student. So a subject isn't jiving with you. That happens to all of us! Breathe, work hard, and don't blame yourself if you can't pull the best grade in the class. I've talked to my math professors before asking if I can do extra credit - and you know what? They agreed to help. Try it, babe. I have faith in you.

But it's not even pulling the best grade in the class. I'd be happy with a B, but I can't even seem to pull that off since coming to this school. I've gotten C+s at best, and failed the rest of the time. It's ridiculous. I should be able to at least get a B. I know I'm smart enough to get a B. So why can't I?
