Not that there hasn't been some good things, and there will be more good things in the final week of this month, but I've been really down lately. I think August has just been bad luck.
Whether it's my hobbies (A's sucking so much lately, including a 13-1 loss that I ATTENDED, Raiders losing Drew Carter for the season) or personal issues (Most of my friends don't appear to be back this semester for school, kind of meaning my social life is back where it was last year... which isn't a good thing!) I'm also getting fed up with how I'm being treated in certain parts of the internet. Surely that line is going to be c/p'ed in some channels and I will be ridiculed some more. That's okay, I likely won't be around.
The Radiohead concert was awesome, but I spent much of it unable to see. I was very far from the stage, and I'm very short, so a lot of the time taller people were in the way, but by the encore I was able to see the band much better. But my camera's battery died so I took no pictures, and it did suck not being able to see them up close. Getting home was a bitch too. I got home at 12:45 am. The concert ended at 10am and I am a 40 minute drive from the concert site. Most of the gap was trying to find a bus that wasn't full that could take me to a BART station, and that took nearly 2 hours, and I walked maybe 2-3 miles. The only other bands I saw were Cold War Kids and Beck (the latter of which cost me a good spot for Radiohead) they were both great.
Good things that have happened... well, the Raiders are back which means I get to see my "family" again. They all mean a lot to me and it'll be great seeing them again. Too bad I won't be able to join them in New Orleans unless a miracle happens. I'm thankful for those of my friends who ARE back this year, and i'm pretty sure my Guitar classmates will be back. One of my online friends, Sammy, is visiting my sister and I got to see him a few times. That was good.
Still doing my Zeldathon. I'm at the City in the Sky in Twilight Princess. Just 3 more dungeons left before the marathon is over. I started around July 20th. That's probably my favorite dungeon of all time in Zelda games so I will enjoy that tonight.
I'm hoping for a REAL silver lining to show up soon...
