A hacker/troll is claiming responsiblity for #amazonfail, and I find the claim fairly believable.  Even if he didn't personally do it, I think that's how it went down.  It also explains why this has been happening since February, but exploded yesterday.  Amazon has known about this weakness of user-feedback regulation, and done nothing.  Now it's ( Read more... )

This is the most likely explanation for #amazonfail I have seen thus far.  It smells strongly of Strikethrough 2007, as the author says.  It happened on a holiday weekend when Amazon was least able to combat it, and it's going to get worse before it gets better.  I hope some Amazon execs are getting woken up right the hell now.
