I checked on UPS.com today to see if my powercord would actually arrive as promised, and it DID! I even got a ride home from ABD so I could get here sooner, and there it was. I figured out the right plug, stuck in it my cold, dark laptop, and crossed my fingers. Success!
Man alive, that was a difficult couple of weeks. I have a newfound appreciation for my technology (and my Laptop savings fund, for that matter - it's not very big yet, but at least it's started).
