Grad Students and their Terrible Life Decisions
I have officially joined the Facebook group "Grad Students: they're Not Bad People, they Just Made Terrible Life Choices." I'm not big into Facebook groups, but this one is too tempting. I especially identify with Reason #37 You Might be a Grad Student If:
37. [Non-grad students] ask you "Are you going to be done soon?" and you laugh but inside a little part of you dies.
Also, I don't see anything wrong with #53.
53. you sleep with your laptop at your bedside.
And #60 cannot possibly be just grad students, right?
60. you are startled to meet people who neither need nor want to read.
Ha! #67 is totally true.
67. professors don't really care when you turn in work anymore.
Ooh, I'm working #69.
69. you have accepted guilt as an inherent feature of relaxation.
... hey, summer weddings are very pretty.
85. you schedule events for academic vacations so your friends can come.
