Oh, sure. 130 schools in the area (including colleges) are closed today for "bitterly cold temperatures," but UW is merrily staying open. It is 12 below right now, with a wind chill of -30. At ten o'clock in the morning!
I went out to see if my car would start this morning, or if I'd have to take the 45 minute bus ride to my doctor's appointment. My trusty car did start up, however grudgingly. I let it run for 5 minutes, hoping that might help for when I need to actually take me somewhere. Such a good little car.
