I'm siiiiiiick.
Not dreadfully. It's likely just a cold. And my throat hurts less than it did yesterday, although my nose is now stuffed up and my head feels like a balloon. Ooh, and sneezing was a painful idea. It's just that overall yucky feeling, you know? Like I'd rather be curled up in bed than here.
Of course, I would usually rather be curled up in bed instead of working, so that's not extremely suprising. I have to read How to Do Things With Words by tomorrow night. I am currently halfway though the second lecture. It's not bad. I actually understand WTF Austin is talking about, which is rarely the case with me and linguistics. Of course, this could be the pride before my fall into panicked confusion as the book suddenly becomes incomprehensible to me.
I'm taking Cold-Eez, which makes me feel proactive about this illness. It's got zinc and vitamin C and other goodies that will supposedly reduce the duration of my cold by 48 hours, according to clinical experiments at Dartmouth College. Worth a try, right? It tastes like candy anyway.
Being siiiiiiick somehow makes me feel like I have the right to procrastinate on anything I want. I shouldn't have to read this book! Or assign these presentation topics! Or read those articles! I'm siiiiiiick!
(bonus points for people who know why I'm using 7 i's)
