10:37-11:47 -- Fun with Outlines

Dec 11, 2004 00:10

10:37 pm - Have meager, high-level outline.  Have very, very old Christmas commerical jingle in my head (result of watching video of Christmas specials taped off TV in the 80s).  "Capture the FEEling ... Holiday Center!"  Or something.  Possibly not "center."

10:54 pm - This is way more complicated than a 1000-1200 word paper.  I'm never going to fit all this in.  This is an outline for a paper at least twice as long. Sigh.

11:24 pm - I'm getting there.  I've got a majority of my quotes organized into an outline.  A ridiculously complicated outline, but an outline nonetheless.  ::wanders away singing, "There's always tomorrow for dreams to come true" a la Clarice in Rudolph::

11:36 pm - My outline of quotes for my 1000-1200 word paper is ... 2,681 words.  Huh.  I hope I'm very concise.

11:47 pm - And I've hit my first wall.  I don't know how late I'll stay up tonight.  I don't have to wake up for anything tomorrow, but I seem to goof off less in the wee hours of the morning.

And in case any of the Noisy Boys and/or their guests are wondering, no, you cannot carry a tune, and I don't believe you are truly feeling awe about the Holy Night or the Jingling Bells.  Please stop.
