“Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
Watching me”
Isshin couldn’t take it anymore. He leaned heavily on the door, laughing harder than he had in years. Kisuke’s eyes snapped open, a furious blush coloring his cheeks. Isshin waved his hand dismissively.
“Don’t mind me,” he said through his laughter, “go on, go on!”
“Bastard,” Kisuke grumbled as he returned to his work, glaring over his shoulder as Isshin got his laughter under control. Despite the other man’s presence Kisuke couldn’t help singing along softly under his breath and, though he didn’t even realize he was doing it, bouncing slightly to the beat.
“I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life”
Isshin, finally only chuckling slightly, stepped up behind Kisuke. He leaned down, putting his mouth next to the other man’s ear.
“You want larger than life, Kisuke?” He murmured, one hand reaching around to trail down over the blonde’s chest. Kisuke stood up abruptly, making Isshin stumble slightly as he tried to retain his balance.
“Keep dreaming, Isshin.” He said as he turned to glare at the man mocking him.
“Aww… come on, Kisuke.” Isshin gave the blonde his best seductive look, which only made the blonde laugh.
“I have work to do.” Kisuke snarked, even though he was smiling. Isshin stepped up to him, pulling the other man against him.
“But Kisuke…” Isshin drew out the other man’s name, adding a sing-songy lilt to his voice.
“Don’t hold your breath.” He pouted but when Isshin leaned in to kiss him he still melted against the other man.
