Deathly Hallows Pt.2 Review
***Spoilers for Movie!!**** Read at your own Risk!!****
I saw the last Harry Potter movie today. Excellent ending. I do think it could have used a bit more editing - some parts were a bit slow and overly melodramatic, IMHO, but there were so many great scenes that I'm happy. Best part of all? Snape!
Finally, finally Snape got his story told. And his death scene was great. As far as it was dramatic and moving. I love the new setting of his death - the boat house was nice - far nicer than the Shrieking Shack (honestly, JKR - not EVERYTHING has to come to full circle, just because he almost died there as a teenager doesn't mean he has to die there as an adult). Alan Rickman looked excellent in the movie, though I wonder why suddenly he wasn't wearing his black contacts. Very noticeable that they were brown. (And don't get me started on eye color - Snape says the 'You've got her eyes' line and then five minutes later in the flashback scenes we have a brown eyed Lily. *facepalm* Bad enough Harry has blue instead of CANON green - but brown mother eyes? And then the adult actress has blue or green eyes - geez, would it KILL the casting people to TRY to find a little girl with light colored eyes? She had a TINY part!!)
Ahem. Anyway. Great Goblin vault scene - excellent Helen B Carter playing Hermione playing Bellatrix. Excellent Daniel Radcliffe, as always, and FANTASTIC Alan Rickman.
*sigh* It's over...all over. Except for fanfic. I can always hope for more fanfic, right? Especially some movie based fanfic - Boat House, people! It was a VERY slashy scene to me with my slash goggles on. Harry was heartbroken Snape was dying before he even knew the truth!!! VERY slashy to me!!
