Soohyun POV
Soohyun stared at his phone as it started ringing the moment Kevin was about to tell him where he saw Dongho. He wanted to turn the call away but he'd been waiting to hear that ring tone for a week now. He'd been hoping to hear from Dongho and therefore he couldn't turn the call away. Maybe it would be Dongho this time.
“Hello?”
Silence. Was this a prank-call? Did someone call him just to annoy him? He could hear someone breathing though. Someone was defiantly there. It couldn't be...?
“Dongho-yah?”
He could hear how the person on the other side of the line gasped. It was Dongho.
“Help me Soohyun-hyung...”
Soohyun almost fainted right on the spot. It was Dongho. His Dongho. Of course he'd never heard his voice before... but somehow he just KNEW it was him.
“Dongho-yah! Where are you? Can I come and pick you up?”
“I'm at a Internet-café...”
Dongho told him the address and Soohyun hurriedly wrote it down.
“I'll be there in five. Don't go anywhere! I promise I'll be there.”
“I'm fine hyung. It's not like I'm dying...” Dongho said and Soohyun could swear that Dongho was smiling. He so wanted to see him smile.
“It doesn't matter. I'll hurry!”
“See you soon, hyung! Be careful on your way out.”
Soohyun said goodbye and shut the phone. He caught Kevin looking at him.
“You can't leave.”
“But I'll have to!”
“Hyung's going to be pissed if you're not here... it's not my audition tomorrow. It's yours. Hyung wants to see your dance before you can leave...”
“But he won't be back for half an hour! I need to get to Dongho!”
Kevin sighed.
“I'll pick him up. I'll take him to your apartment.”
“Really?”
“If you let me borrow your car.”
Soohyun didn't hesitated and threw Kevin the keys.
“You're a lifesaver you know that Kevin.”
“Always here to save your skin~” Kevin smiled as he left the studio to go pick Dongho up.
Dongho POV
“Dongho-sshi?”
Dongho looked up from the computer to see a blond boy smiling brightly at him. He looked very sweet and nice. But he was a complete stranger to the younger boy so he ignored him.
“Dongho... Soohyun-hyung couldn't make it, he really wanted to pick you up but he had to do something for his audition tomorrow. It was really important so he sent me to pick you up...”
“What's your name?”
Kevin stared at Dongho in a confused manner. This boy was very strange.
“Kevin.”
“Kevin Woo?”
Kevin nodded and the other boy gave him a bright smile. He knew who he was. Soohyun had spoken of him before. Apparently he was very nice.
“It's nice to meet you, I'm Shin Dongho.” Dongho introduced himself, smiling brightly. Kevin now understood why Soohyun really cared for this boy. He may be strange and seem sad, but he was very cute and Kevin could tell he was really smart behind all those insecurities that Soohyun had told him that the younger boy had.
“It's nice to meet you to. Soohyun-hyung said that we could wait for him at his apartment so if you come with me I can drive us there.”
Dongho nodded and collected all his stuff and followed Kevin out of the café. They put all of Dongho's stuff and his suitcase in the backseat and drove off.
Soohyun POV
Soohyun had never been more anxious about getting home as fast as possible before. He wanted to call Kevin and ask him to pick him up but he didn't want to meet Dongho too soon. It was so weird. He had wanted to see Dongho ever since he saw that picture of him and now when he was finally going to meet him, he wasn't sure of it anymore. He was so scared that Dongho would get a bad first impression and would not want to be around him. What if Dongho was not the person that he'd thought he was. There was so many worried thoughts that went through his head as he finally walked up the stairs to get to his apartment. He was so nervous. He opened the door to his apartment and shouted that he was now home again. No answer. But he could hear Kevin giggling from the living-room. So he took off his shoes to go check.
“I'm home...”
“Oh hi hyung! Welcome home!” Kevin chirped happily. There was a younger boy with him on the couch with his back against Soohyun. When he turned around it was like it was in slow motion. It was him. Dongho. He dropped his bag on the floor and stared him. He was a lot more beautiful in real life. But he was also a lot thinner. Maybe he had lost some weight. But he definitely didn't look healthy in any way.
“Soohyun...?”
Soohyun finally drew his attention away from Dongho to look at Kevin.
“You need to do some grocery shopping, hyung.” Kevin continued and smiled in a try to be helpful. Soohyun nodded and his gaze turned to Dongho again. He had wanted to hear from him for so long, he had wanted to meet him ever since they started talking. And now when he had Dongho in front of him he didn't know what to say or how to act.
Dongho finally cleared his throat.
“Thank you for taking me into your home...” Dongho said with a very weak voice. He gave Soohyun a light smile that made his heart melt.
“Don't worry about it.” Soohyun just said. “Come, I'll show you the guest room. Did Kevin show you the bathroom so you can take a shower?”
Dongho shook his head no and got up from the couch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dongho soon became a part of Soohyun's life. Kibum and Dongho only had a few conversations but every night when Soohyun came home later Kibum and Dongho was always watching TV together, playing cards, cooking together or just sitting in the same room reading. They seemed to work well together despite the fact that Dongho was several years younger than Kibum.
Dongho rarely spoke to anyone. He answered politely but short on questions. Soohyun figured that Dongho was not used to having people that cared around him.
A week after Dongho moved into the apartment, Soohyun invited his friends over to introduce them to the young teen. Alexander acted like a worried mother towards the boy. Kevin just hugged him and asked him how he was feeling. Kiseop was his usual nice self and he was the only one that thought of giving Dongho a present. Eli tried to be nice, though a little clumsy and ended up scaring Dongho. Soohyun had to spend one hour trying to get the poor boy out of the bathroom. He made a mental note not to bring all his friends over in one go. He decided to start inviting them to get to know Dongho one by one. He started with Kevin. It didn't take long until those two were close friends. Kevin sometimes came over without an invitation. Then Dongho and Kevin locked themselves up in Dongho's room and talked and giggled for hours. Chocolate bars showed up in random places in the house and Soohyun knew it was the work of Kevin... or maybe Xander. Because Kibum and himself rarely ate any sweets and Dongho never went out on his own. So it had to be Kevin or Xander. He soon learned that chocolate was Dongho's favorite thing in the world, except for his laptop. Soohyun swore that if Dongho only could, he'd live on those chocolate bars for the rest of his life. Soohyun wouldn't let him though.
After a month of Dongho living there he felt like he was drifting apart from the boy. The boy who once was the only thing in the world that could cheer him up. Now they barely spoke to each other and it hurt. He saw Dongho every morning before going to school. He saw him when he came home. They had dinner together every night. And still he barely spoke with him. Soohyun tried to talk with him, but Dongho barely uttered a word to him. And still he spent hours talking to Kevin. He even started talking with Kibum a little. Alexander took him out shopping once or twice. Kiseop brought him to his favorite coffee shop. Eli took him to his tae kwon do studio and even learned him a few moves. Soon all Soohyun's friends was Dongho's friends as well.
It was then Soohyun started to regret ever talking to Dongho. If he only knew it was going to hurt so bad he would never had talked to him.
Dongho POV
“Dongho-yah...”
Dongho looked up from his book and looked at Kevin and then adverted his gaze from him quickly. He knew what he was going to say.
“You're hurting him, Dongho-yah... you can't do this to him anymore. You have to talk to him.”
“It's hard! As soon as I see him I... my voice just won't work around him. I always plan on things to say to him... but I never... it... I can't say them.”
Kevin looked like he was thinking really hard for a while and then his face lit up in a bright smile.
“I think I know a way for you to talk to him without feeling so nervous...”
“You do?”
Soohyun POV
Chocolate Dongho:
I'm sorry. I really am. I want to be able to talk to you face to face, but I just get very nervous around you.
SooHyun ~ might be in love:
So that's why.
Chocolate Dongho:
Please don't be mad at me. I'm really sorry.
SooHyun ~ might be in love:
Don't worry about it. I'm not mad at you. How can I ever be mad at you? Dongho. You're adorable, I just wish you'd open up to me like you did with Kevin. I'm really jealous here.
Chocolate Dongho:
You're jealous?
SooHyun ~ might be in love logged off.
Soohyun stared panicked at the screen. What the hell was he doing? Why did he tell Dongho that?! Telling him that was like telling him that he had a crush on the boy. He was just shocked that Dongho had started a conversation with him, since they hadn't talked for almost a month. He knew that Dongho was in the room right next to him. And he knew that he could just come to his door and demand an answer on why he was jealous. But Soohyun didn't even know that answer himself. Why was he jealous?
