Soohyun POV
Soohyun stared at his computer screen in shock.
Chocolate Dongho:
I like you.
He swallowed hard. He liked Dongho too. But he never got the chance to tell him because the younger logged out. He stared at the screen a little more. He was so confused. He looked at the picture of Dongho again. He'd been talking with him for over a month, why hadn't he asked him for a picture before? This boy was just adorable. He liked his innocent view on life. How he always told Soohyun to treasure those moments he could spend with family and friends. He always told Soohyun to take care of himself when Soohyun seemed tired. Somehow the younger boy knew exactly how Soohyun felt by just starting a conversation with him. Soohyun had never clicked like that with anyone before. But Dongho was just... perfect. Sure he was a lot younger that Soohyun and the weight on the boy's shoulder seemed to be twice as heavy as Soohyun's. Soohyun could tell that this boy was thinking way to much on things for his own good. From what he had been told Dongho had no friends. His parents didn't care about him and practically left him to fend on his own. Soohyun really wanted to take care of him. But he lived so far away. He sighed as he once again felt Kibum hovering by his shoulder.
“Did he leave?”
“Yes...” Soohyun sighed and was about to close the conversation when Kibum spoke up again.
“He told you he likes you and LEFT?” He asked and looked at his friend.
“I guess he's really shy...” Soohyun mumbled as he closed the windows on the screen and shut the computer off.
“Do you like him too, hyung?”
“Of course I do... I mean... he's totally cute and I'm not only talking about his looks now. He's always so sweet to me when I need it the most. He always knows how to cheer me up.”
Kibum just smiled.
“Seems like you have a crush on the boy...” Kibum just commented before he left the room.
Yet another week passed. Another stressful week filled to maximum with stuff he had to do. Reports for several classes, dance practice, singing lessons and hanging out with friends. He just hated it all. And now Dongho had abandoned him as well. Soohyun had tried to contact him, more than once. He was online every night, he hurried home after his practice and whenever he was doing schoolwork he had the computer on beside him if Dongho might show up. But he never did. Soohyun was becoming even more desperate for each passing day. Without Dongho there it felt like he was suffocating slowly. He was popular. Hell, he could date any girl he wanted. But he never wanted that. All his friends was shallow in his eyes. He was about to give up on this useless lifestyle of his when Dongho showed up. And now he didn't even have the boy in his life anymore. He wanted to talk to him so bad. He tried everything to contact him. He hurried home after every dance practice and singing lesson, always hoping that Dongho would be online when he arrived home and could start his computer. But he never was. He had lost the only important person in his life and he didn't even know what he did wrong to scare him away like that?
He wrote to Dongho everyday even though he wasn't sure if he read his messages or even came online. He was starting to feel really miserable. He hadn't been speaking to the younger one for one and a half week now. He was breaking down slowly, but not talking to Dongho sure made him less outgoing and happy. Kibum was the first one to notice since he was Soohyun's roommate and pretty much spent all his free time around the other guy.
“Did something happen?” Kibum asked his roommate one afternoon. “Did your boyfriend break up with you or something?”
“Dongho-yah's not my boyfriend...” Soohyun just said without looking away from the computer screen he was staring at. He didn't understand? Dongho said that he liked him, why didn't he talk to him then? Was he really that shy? He sighed again.
“Oh come on, hyung! You're clearly depressed. Tell me what's wrong!”
“He's not answering!” Soohyun said, voice thick with desperation and sadness. “Why won't he answer me? He likes me right? Or... was he just making fun of me?”
“He was not making fun of you hyung. I believe that he's just scared and shy.”
“Scared of what?”
“You pushing him away? He was all anxious when you didn't answer to his messages.”
“But still... he... I don't get that guy.”
Kibum just shrugged.
“Give him your number and tell him that if he ever want to speak with you again he'll have to call you...”
“Kibum... that's just mean...”
“Who knows? It might work...”
“I'm sure neither of us are ready for a phone call...”
“Whatever you say...”
A week after that Soohyun eventually went all out on Kibum's plan. He'd tried everything. And he didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to get in touch with the boy. He started to worry that Dongho had disappeared. That the ones that bullied him at school finally went to far and he just couldn't take it anymore. He was so worried that he couldn't sleep. But he sent him phone number eventually because if Dongho needed it, he could contact him. Dongho was indeed an emotional boy but Soohyun was not sure that he would make such a stupid decision as to kill himself. He wouldn't leave Soohyun right? He liked him right? It was starting to get really hard pretending to be OK. He knew that Kevin noticed. And of course he would tell Eli and Alexander. Then they would have a talk with Kibum. And then eventually Kiseop would catch on and all of them was gonna know that something was wrong. He didn't expect Kevin to actually approach him about it.
“What's up, Soohyun? Really?”
“What?”
“You've been really weird lately... it's something wrong?”
“I... don't know...”
“Love problems?”
Soohyun almost choked on his water and Kevin only gave him a smug smile.
“So it's true then...? I asked Kibum yesterday and he told me that you've been talking a lot with a boy recently and you've been very upset because he didn't answer your messages.”
Soohyun tried to ignore Kevin but he knew that the sweet boy would never give up unless he told him the truth. He sighed.
“His name is Dongho. He's really sweet. I talk to him for about six months now... But recently he haven't been answering my messages. The last thing he said to me was that he likes me and then I haven't talked to him ever since. I'm starting to get worried now. I sent him my number in pure desperation. I've been checking my phone for any calls or messages from him for days now... but nothing...”
Kevin looked at him with a slight innocent look on his face. He also looked kinda worried.
“I'm not even sure if Dongho was actually serious or if he was just making fun of me...” Soohyun continued. He was so depressed because he was so stupid and thought that Dongho actually meant it when he said that he liked him.
“Hyung... do you have a picture of him?”
Soohyun picked up his phone from his pocket. He opened it and showed Kevin the picture. He had had it as his background since that day so he could look at him whenever he felt lonely for not talking with the younger boy.
“OMO! I saw this boy!”
“WHAT?!”
“Yeah! I saw him this morning on the train. I remember because he asked me to help him with the map. He was so sweet I just wanted to take him home and keep him. He looked so tired, like he hadn't slept or had a good meal since like forever.”
Soohyun stared at Kevin with an expression that changed from disbelief to horror within seconds.
“Wh-where?”
Dongho POV
Dongho was not sure that this would work. But he was desperate. He didn't have much money left since he came to Seoul several days ago. He went to all the places that Soohyun have been talking about when they chatted online. But he never saw the brunette. Soon he didn't even have any money left to buy a ticket home. Not that he was planning on going back. His parents threw him out. He had no where to go since his friends all ignored him. He spent one week with almost all his belongings in his school locker and sleeping in the park. But then he decided that he couldn't live like that so he took all his savings and all his stuff and bought a ticket to Seoul. He never dared to start his computer and see if Soohyun had contacted him. He wanted to find him... but he knew it'd be awkward. He had to find a way to accidently bump into him. But after spending almost a week in Seoul he realized that the city was to big and that he had no chance of ever accidentally bumping in to Soohyun. He had to contact him somehow... if Soohyun ever wanted to talk to him again.
But he decided that he would give a shot at contacting Soohyun. He found a Internet café and he spent almost the whole day reading all the messages that Soohyun had sent to him the last two weeks of him not being online. He was so happy. Soohyun wanted to keep talking to him at least but how would Dongho be able to contact him. He knew that Soohyun had his dance practice right now and he couldn't remember where the studio was. But all his problems was solved as he found Soohyun's phone number among all the countless messages from the older guy.
He smiled nervously as he called the number. He hoped that Soohyun would answer. He didn't know what he was going to say to him. He didn't really thought it through before he made the call.
“Hello?”
Dongho shivered. Such a pretty voice. It was like a drug for him. He took a deep breath. He just couldn't find his voice.
“Dongho-yah?”
“Help me Soohyun-hyung...”
