Cover Art Explanation: The obvious? Edward/Bella/Jacob triangle and the red ribbon from the original Eclipse cover. The not so obvious, if you couldn't decipher it among my crappy blending skills: The glow of light is an actual picture of the sun shining out behind the moon- a literal eclipse.

First time trying out individual cover arts, so please be nice! :)
1) Used To- Daughtry
Aren't Japaenese!Bella and Jacob so cute? Credit to With You for Jap. Twilight scans. This may be the only cover art I'm 100% satisfied with. o.o
Why? From the first chapter we saw how greatly Edward's return changed Jacob and Bella's relationship- for the worse. Jacob reflects on the New Moon times he and Bella shared, how she used to talk to and 'lean on him like the only other choice was falling down. He misses all the memories he and Bella shared, and just wishes things would go back to the way they were...or for the better.
2) Boys Wanna Fight- Garbage
Gah it was so pretty textless :( And I forgot to add page numbers on this one, sorry!
Why? Take one posessive soulmate vampire, add one angsty mortal enemy rival and one mutual love interest. The title says it all.
3) Just For- Nickelback
Why? Jacob, the role model for angsty lovelorn teenage werewolves everywhere in La Push. After confessing his love for Bella, he must watch as she chooses Edward over him- the same boy who constantly brings danger into her life by his existence, and made her suffer months of hell by leaving her in New Moon. Ironically, this is the same boy who brought Bella into his life- really into his life-, because without the pain Bella suffered through Edward's absence, she would never have needed Jacob- and he would never have had to suffer his own heartbreak as a result of Edward's return into Bella's open arms.
4) Bella Donna- Bond
Again, it was so pretty textless. Gah. Stupid lack of photoshop text skills.
Why? Bella Donna literally means 'Beautiful Woman' in Italian- do you need a better reason? Well the this song perfectly encompasses the bittersweet tale of Rosalie's unhappy ending for me- the lilting minor violin melody is incredibly beautiful, but in a melancholy, tragic way. The harpischord chords in the background are also fitting as it gives the song a very classical, late 1800s mood; not entirely accurate, but a small representation of the old times Rosalie lived in.
5) There and Back Again- Daughtry
Why? More Jacob angst- you can't get through Eclipse without it! Jacob's fury over Bella's decision to become a vampire. He thinks she is being ridiculous, that she is making a huge, irreversible mistake she will regret ('Don't wait for the hands of time/To second guess and change your mind').
He believes that she is being tempted into this decision by the allure of the immortality neccesary to stay with Edward forever, but she is not realizing the damnation and cursed life she will lead in exchange. ('Smell the roses but steal the vines'). He pleads for her to stay with him, to be a human like she ought to, instead of running around with undead mythical creatures ('Replace that line/that spoke to you/but showed you no signs of being alive').
6) Huddle Formation- The Go! Team
I don't like this cover much either :S Anyway...
Why? It's Graduation. And it's one of Bella's last human experiences. And Alice is involved. There can only be one result. A bouncy, ridiciulously cheerful track to lift the party people's spirits and get them dancing. I know they supposedly played some famous, well-known party starter song, but I REALLY didn't want to include 'Fergalicious' or anything in here...
7) You Found Me- Kelly Clarkson
Excuse my pathetic excuse for a speech bubble. I don't have a drawing tablet :( PS I don't know what Riley's trying to do with his legs either.
Why? I'd always liked Alice and Jasper individually, but until Eclipse there hadn't been much mention of them as a couple. And then I was browsing through my old songs, and when I came across this it literally screamed 'ALICEANDJASPER!' in size-72, bolded caps lock letters.
Apart from the literal translation (Alice finding Jasper through her visions), she also metaphorically rescued him from all the depression and confusion he'd suffered while living with Maria, Nettie and Lucy. And then Alice came along and showed him the prospects of Carlisle and his family- to show him there was hope('I've been comfortably numb/ until you opened up my eyes/ to what it's like/ when everything's right')
8) We Need A War- Fischerspooner
Why? Cullen family bubble! Quite literal. The savage vampires that were ravaging Seattle are now coming for Bella- and there's no excuse better than that to pick a fight (Can't you just imagine Emmett saying that? XD) It's WAR.
9) Lamb-Gorecki
Damn, don't know what went wrong with the colour text. Incase you can't read it, it says:
"We stay together. No matter what."
"No matter what," he agreed, his eyes tight.
Why? Pure Edward/Bella melancholy fluff before the big battle. Oh and the song title, Lamb? Remember 'the lion and the lamb' in Twilight? Perfection.
10) Prelude 12/21 - AFI
Why? Edward comforting a worried Bella in the tent before/during the big battle. It's gloomy, cold, stormy (?)- the song captures the mood perfectly.
11) Vow-Garbage
Wow I didn't mean to make this cover quite so macabre, but since it is Victoria we're talking about...
Why? Simple, isn't it? Victoria, the epitome of sadistic, homicidal vampire, tracking down Bella in the clearing to wreak her revenge...
12) Duel-Bond
Yes there is meant to be a red blob on the creature on the right hand side. My miserable attempt to show Victoria, and her famous flame hair D: If you didn't guess, this is stolen from Harry Potter & the PoA XD. Hence Victoria looking sort of naked...
Why? The title says it all, and the book quote explains it even more. The final duel between Victoria and Edward. Both of have been chasing each other around for months; Victoria to kill Bella, and Edward to kill her before she can do so. And here is the final confrontation.
