Reasons why I don't support Ron Paul (taken from the official RP website):
As President, Ron Paul will lead the fight to:
* Remove restrictions on drilling, so companies can tap into the vast amount of oil we have here at home.
* Eliminate the ineffective EPA. Polluters should answer directly to property owners in court for the damages they create - not to Washington.
* Immediately saving lives by effectively repealing Roe v. Wade and preventing activist judges from interfering with state decisions on life by removing abortion from federal court jurisdiction through legislation modeled after his “We the People Act.”
* Defining life as beginning at conception by passing a “Sanctity of Life Act.”
* Repeal ObamaCare and end its unconstitutional mandate that all Americans must carry only government-approved health insurance or answer to the IRS.
* Allow purchase of health insurance across state lines.
* Make securing our borders the top national security priority.
* Help parents better educate their children by providing parents with a $5,000 per child tax credit for tutors, books, computers, and other K-12 related educational needs.
* Ensure that the federal government treats high school diplomas earned through homeschooling the same as other high school diplomas.
and I don't feel like going through his website anymore. Suffice it to say, I've heard of him and I disagree with him.
There are things I definitely don't like in his platform. Being anti-choice one of them. He is also the opposite of what we really need medical coverage wise too. (Medicare for everyone, a no brainer) But he is the ONLY candidate interested in the no-brainer policy of ending the war in Afghanistan and bringing troops home. I have actually heard people say, "But all those people come home, there will be no jobs for them here." This is their justification for keeping this huge military abroad! Unfreakingbelievable.
Fixed Noise shut off his mic last night while he was in the middle of answering a question during the debate. They didn't like what he was saying. They gave Newt most of the speaking time so he could spout off more racist class warfare crazy talk while the people of South Carolina gave him a standing ovation.
