Wikileaks Insurance

Okay boys and girls, want to help out Julian Assange, the owner of Wikileaks who's gone into hiding because the big, bad, evil United States wants to find him? With your help, we can keep that from happening.

Download his insurance policy here and save it. If you have an external hard drive or thumb drive that can hold over a gig, you may want to do that, the file is huge. If it becomes necessary, the volunteers at Wikileaks will provide the password and instructions to open the file. Necessary means the US DoD has found Julian Assange, hence the insurance. The idea is to make sure enough people have it downloaded it on the planet so that the US DoD doesn't want to arrest Julian Assange

What's in it? Hard to say, but it's believed that unreleased documents from the rest of the Afghan War Diary are a part of it. The insurance file is also 10 times larger than the huge batch of files already released that The New York Times, The Guardian and Die Spiegel recently published

You might be wondering, isn't Julian Assange doing something wrong by releasing these leaked records to the public? Sometimes you have to do the wrong thing for the right reasons. The wrong thing of course is releasing stolen classified documents, but the right reason is to expose the United States' activities in Afghanistan, and if at all possible, making this terrible war end as soon as possible. The previous administration was wrong in starting it, and this administration is wrong in continuing it. Whatever it takes, because this horror has been going on now for nine years, with no end in sight.

So if you can help, download the file, tuck it away in a folder somewhere to keep it safe, and wait for further instructions, if they are forthcoming.
