So Lost

This past weekend I managed to get myself lost/disoriented not once but twice. I suppose it says something about my good luck that this is the first time that's happened since I moved here, or says that I really have been particularly unadventurous if it's the first time that that's happened. I leave that as an exercise for the reader.

In other discombobulatory news, I realize that I really should try getting up to speed on local and state political stuff, but have no idea where to go for good information. Suggestions?
