Finally!
It's been almost ten years in the trying* but yesterday I finally completed my SCUBA certification! There's really something so incredible about hanging out on the ocean floor, even when you're doing a mask removal and replacement exercise and the Puget Sound is threatening to give you one hell of an ice cream freeze headache. But when you're walking out of the water with gravity returning and all your gear demonstrating it's pull, that cold water doesn't seem quite so bad.
And it's the closest to visiting another (almost alien) world that most humans can get.
I also want to get a picture of me standing on the ocean floor holding a white cane. You know, just because.
