Disjointed election thoughts that don't reduce well into Facebook status updates:

we really need some kind of proportional representation.... i odn't really care what kind... anything is better than first past the post.

it probably wouldn't be a bad thing if they conservatives got a majority... then hopefully their evil world dominiation plans would be more visible and they'd get voted out in ≤5 years. With a miniority they're forced just to do little things, that dont' seem so insidious all on their own and people think the conservatives aren't so bad.

at least the NDP did well.

Well, I can't vouch for Australia since I've only visited a couple of times.

NZ is lovely (and no snow! (at least on the North Island) and has some great job opportunities, however it is an adjustment to getting used to a smaller economy (as in things are more expensive and there's a lack of selection). However really I can't complain too much. :)
