Woke up this morning with massive cramps and a massive backache. It's stuff like this that makes me think that men have it better than women. But then I remember that the very same hormones causing said aches also protect us women from certain conditions that could, you know, kill us before our time. Frankly, I'd rather have some pain one or two days a month than have early heart disease and die of a massive heart attack in my 30s, as some men are wont to do because of their lack of large amounts of estrogen, or, worse, become a vegetable due to a stroke. *shudder*
Yes, thank you, estrogen. :) Thank you for my cramps and general pissiness. I'm honestly happy to deal with that stuff so long as you keep doing your job...
In other news...Did my Dotzauer, so that's out of the way for the day. And I can play the first etude fairly well at 150 bpm (152 bpm, to be precise) now. So now I just have to practice once more before Tuesday to make my practicing goal for the week. Since it's a long weekend and I don't have to work until Wednesday, I just might practice THREE more times by Tuesday, thus mashing my goal into the ground. Yay for making goals! :D
And...there's another subject that I want to pontificate about that's been bugging me for a while, one having to do with Christianity. Specifically, the whole Sabbath-keeping phenomenon. I thought it would be appropriate to write it all down on a Saturday since that's, you know, the Sabbath...but I don't really have time to write it all down right now, since in about a half-hour we'll be heading into town for the rest of the afternoon/early evening to do some shopping, have some dinner, and then go to a little outdoor chamber music concert. So, my Sabbathkeeping ramblings (and rantings, I s'pose) will have to wait until the day after the Sabbath. :) I'm sure you're all just dying to read them. ;)
Until then...TA! :)
Oh, and Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends. :)
