Update: Well, now I'm sitting in
frostymook's hospital room using my boss's laptop to make an LJ post. :) Have I ever mentioned that I really, really, hate laptop keyboards?? Ah well, better than nothing I suppose... But do forgive me if I make more typos than usual. I keep hitting the wrong darn letter... :p
Anyway, the update. Thank you all for your prayers and well-wishes for Frosty. :) I very much appreciate it, and I'm sure Frosty will appreciate it once she's out of her drugged stupor. :) Anyway, she made it through the surgery with flying colors, more or less. The surgery itself only took about 45 minutes, but she's had lots of difficulty with pain since she was in the recovery room. She was in there longer than usual because of that. So now they've got her hooked up to a pump thing, with which she can just press a button to give herself a dose of morphine or whatever it is they've got in that thing. She's used it quite a bit already, and they also gave her a muscle relaxer because everything in her abdomen was all clenched up from the trauma of the surgery and, thus, hurting and waking her up. So she's all dopey and helpless. So, I shall stay until she can fend for herself better. I don't like or trust hospitals to begin with, and this one, right now, is rather overcrowded with patients, so I know that they simply can't be as responsive to patients as perhaps they should be. I, however, can be very responsive and, when I put my mind to it, quite demanding. :) So, I likely won't be getting much sleep tonight, and I'm already tired... So, I'm glad I've got this laptop with its nifty cellular Internet connection to keep me occupied and marginally awake. :) It was fortunate that I decided to take it home yesterday in order to mess with it.
So, I guess you should stay tuned for half-awake 3AM ramblings from yours truly. ;)
