[Generation Justice] Missing
A cold, light drizzle has started falling on Gotham City.
Flying when it rains is the best, because Mar'i can hide herself from the eyes of the passers-by by floating above the low clouds - well, at least this's Grandpa's opinion.
Mar'i wouldn't really mind if someone spotted her traveling over the city.
She's hoping to be in time. She has no idea when the Falcone's will put their plan into action. Could it be tonight?
Her stomach churns with anxiety.
The girl speeds up.
She shoots above the lead-colored clouds and, when she gets over Kitrina's house, she just stops flying and lets herself free-fall to the rooftop below.
It's a breathtaking leap, but Mar'i knows how to handle it. She flips and rotates in mid-air, with a grace that would be the pride of the grandmother she was named after, and finally she lands on the wet and dirty tiles.
The kitchen window is still open.
Mar'i pops her head in. "Kitrina?" She calls out. She's ready to be offended and yelled at, even to fight... ANYTHING to keep her friend home and away from Mario's murderous business. "I'm sorry for the computer! I'm sorry for everything!" The girl slips into the small kitchen and calls again, louder this time: "Kitrina?"
No answer.
A young, black tomcat peeks in from behind the door, attracted by the half-alien girl's voice.
Mar'i squats down and pets him on the head. "Is your mommy home?" She murmurs.
Obviously the feline cannot answer her, but only purr.
"Kitrina?"
Mar'i gets to her feet and walks into the nearby room. The room is clean, there are glass shards on the floor no more.
"KITRINA?" She calls anew at the top of her lungs.
Someone in the next apartment bangs on the wall in response, and an unpleasant voice hollers: "Shut the hell up already!"
It's too late.
"... what do I do now?" The girl wonders. If only she hadn't smashed the computer...
She lowers her eyes and then she notices it.
A file.
Mar'i flips it open.
It contains several photos of Two Face and a map of the city.
A map with a red X on it.
Mar'i's eyes narrow.
If need be, she'll drag Kitrina home...
